Training

Training is going well.  Ramping my mileage up and how long I'm out running and being on my feet for.

Last week 20/2 - 26/2
Monday - Day off
Tuesday - 16.52 miles (2 hours 25 minutes)
Wednesday.  Afternoon - Refereed student game.  Evening - 90 minute squash game
Thursday - 60 minute touch rugby session
Friday - Day off
Saturday - Upper body gym session
Sunday - Refereed U20's game

Doing something day after day is slowly getting my legs ready for being pounded everyday.  Aiming to incorporate more longer runs back to back.  But, feeling in good shape! Although I'm eating so so much food!!

JustGiving

I don't know why I haven't put this on earlier but here is my JustGiving page for Alzheimer's society.

A lot of great work is done by the society for people with Alzheimer's and helping to find new ways of treating the disease.

Route

My route has been planned.  For some reason I've been saying I'm doing the run over 6 days but I'm actually doing it over 5 (approx. 30 miles a day)
Day 1 - Monday 21st May - Bude to Boscastle to Port Isaac
Day 2 - Tuesday 22nd May - Port Isaac to Padstow to Porthcothan to Mawgan Porth
Day 3 - Wednesday 23rd May - Mawgan Porth to Newquay to Perranporth to Portreath
Day 4 - Thursday 24th May - Portreath to St. Ives to Pendeen
Day 5 - Friday 25th May - Pendeen to Porthcurno to Penzance

I have sounded out accommodation in all of these places and B&B's are available at good prices so I will be booking that in the next week.  I will be stopping in Penzance for 2 nights and travelling back on the Sunday (providing I can walk).
I would love it to have company on some of my journey and if you know you are free and willing to come, either to sit in a cafe in a town I'm passing through or to run along side me or just see me at the end of the leg it would be superb.
Get in touch with me if you are thinking about it.

Planning another long run today!
